Leadership Development.  We provide professional development for school and system leaders using the Five Critical Practices, a research-based framework for improving student learning.  The Five Critical Practices are correlated with Alabama Plan 2020 and with major national leadership models.

Strategic Planning.  We lead strategic planning processes based on the needs of each client. We blend educational expertise with extensive experience in developing actionable strategic plans that meet accreditation requirements as well as other system needs.

Academic Audits.  We conduct academic audits through a rigorous, direct, and transparent process that focuses on research-based best practices and the critical practices used by high-performing schools and systems.  We provide recommendations that outline what schools or systems need to do to deliver teaching and learning in the most effective ways.

Teaching Practices.
We provide supports to school districts, school boards, leaders, and leadership teams to improve and sustain teaching practices that result in increased student learning.

Data-Based Decision Making.  We help schools and systems develop organizational cultures of continuous learning and use data to solve real-world education problems.  Data provide knowledge of strengths and weaknesses, help develop an understanding of the major trends currently affecting education, and are necessary for continuous learning and improvement.  In high-performing schools, the leadership team selects, gathers, analyzes, manages, and improves its data, information, and knowledge resources.  The team selects all pertinent data to assess organizational performance.  The data used are timely, accurate and user-friendly; compared to world-class standards; and continually reviewed to improve action plans and processes.

Facilitation.  We facilitate collegial conversations focused on research-based best practices and provide feedback and support to strengthen performance.

Recruitment and Selection.  We collaborate with school districts and schools to provide guidance and assistance in recruitment and selection of superintendents and principals.  A structured interview process based on the applicant's actual experience guides and supports the selection of the candidate with the best qualifications to increase student learning.  The flexible process, designed to meet the unique needs of each school system, includes five separate sections with three questions each and recommended research-based responses.

Professional Learning Communities.  In today's educational organizations, change happens quickly and forces schools and systems to develop the ability to anticipate, engage in, and benefit from all kinds of change.  Learning is at the heart of an organization’s ability to adapt to change.  It is the key to identifying opportunities and to taking advantage of these opportunities.  Education should not simply ensure that students are taught, but should make sure that they learn. We help schools and systems use professional learning communities to make this simple shift—from a focus on teaching to a focus on learning.
